REDUCE PRODUCE SHRINK

By cleaning even slightly dirty coils it is possible to reduce case air curtain temperatures by three degrees.
 
 
 
Dirty evaporative coils do not allow proper heat exchange to take place. It is not uncommon to reduce case air curtain temperatures 3 degrees by cleaning only slightly dirty coils. The pictures below show a section of case that was cleaned and resulted in an air curtain temperature decrease from 64 degrees to 41 degrees. Studies have indicated that a 5 degree reduction in temperature will increase perishable product life by 4 days!
